    hey all.

so my car recently failed its mot, with a long list of things, but my question is about the wishbones. its failed for to much play in the ball joints,

ive thought about getting 2nd hand wishbones, but started to worry about paying out for them and them having the same problem.

so im wondering if it be best take my wishbones off and just putting new bushes and ball joint on them, i no you have to have a speciel tool to do the ball joint which i havent got, would it be cheaper to do this or cheaper to buy new wish bones, and where could i take the wishbones to have the ball joints pressed in???

    any reply would be good

    cheers in advance

if you get the ball joints on there own and fit them to your wish bones your talking like 15 quid for the ball joints and a fiver each for fitting at any local garage with a bearing press. and with the money saved a nice polyurethane bush kit would finish them off nicely.

Dont bother with 2nd hand wishbones mate. You can get new from ECP for not much more than scrappers would want.

I payed 38 pound for a brandnew wishbone and you could fit it yourself if your confident enough i heard its not worth the hassle trying to replace just the ball joint.

    Up to you though

If you do buy new complete wishbones, make sure you get decent quality ones, I bought some ages ago that were terrible
