Confused again...

   Well was wondering why the cig lighter doesnt work so looked behind the center console and there wasnt actually a lead going into it then i saw what looked like the plug that fits into it but it isnt as the lead has 3 pins (it looked like) and the acutally cig lighter had 2 pins and would not fit. Only thing i can think of is the cig lighter fitment change from mk1 & mk2 would i be right and the center console has been changed? (will get a pic up later if you are confused aswell)

   so basically a three pin plug on the end of the loom and the part it goes into has a 2 pin plug. Are you sure this isn't a case of it being an orientation thing? I.e. turn the plug upside down and it fits...get me bruv yeah?

   Alternatively just get a new universal lighter from anywhere ,
   I did think that one was 3 pin

   IIRC my lighter had 2 pin and its on a MK2 as i had to replace mine

   my car is a MK2 , so im thinking the center console is from a MK1? ha

    or just change to the MK2 lighter , checked my little 1.1 that is a mk2 and it has the same connection so must meen he took the center console from a MK1
