Leaky sunroof:(

well i have had a leaking sunroof for a while now and all ive done it ductaped it up for the last 3 months, and its stopped completley but it looks vile!
i brought some black silicone sealer but im not too sure on where abouts to put it? thanks Robbie

i had this problem even after fitting a new sunroof seal, was very annoying all i did was open sunroof, remove seal, clean seal and recess where seal sits.
generously apply sealant all around the seal recess then put seal back on and shut sunroof.
There may be better ways of doing it but this way looks neat and does the trick.
i also applied sealant in the gap all the way round where the black plastic frame meets the roof ( i used clear sealant though, not black ).

try cleaning the seal with wd40 and the under side of the sunroof glass where it sits flush, if it leaks through ur interior light then take out the light with a small screw driver it should pop out then look up and undo the 8mm bolt holding your airel on and take the airle off your car and clean arond the hole with wd40 on your roof and then fill the under side of your airel black plastic with sealent and refit clean off excess sealant off roof asap or it will look a cunt lol many people think there sunroof is leaking when its not that its the airel thats letting water through hope it helps if not try compressed air down the sun roof water gullys that go down the windscreen pillars might be blocked up

i used black silicone to seal it up, being a plumber am rather good at doing it, so good luck if you havent tried it before haha
