#2Its easy mate, just put the pressure plate on over the clutch plate as normal, few turns on each allen key, then use a screwdriver to get the same gap all around the edge. Once you have tighten the bolts up properly.
-
#3not worth trying to line up the clutch without one unless you have a first motion shaft from a gear box for the price of the tool its not worth messing the job up.
you can get a draper one from halfords and motorsave for around 8-9 quid. -
#4Can get the tools for like £3 off eBay, lost it though and done 4/5 clutchs since worked fine
-
#5You can also use a socket.
-
#6or you can find the end of a screwdriver that fits... well thats what me mate did
-
#7i have herd of using a socket before. with some gaffer tape round it.
mite give it a go. -
#8did mine in august easy to line up just tighten the allen key bolts up and then i slide the clutch around till it fit flush all way round and nipped it up took 5 mins to do no need for tool
-
#9Thick end of a 3/8" extension
-
#10if you buy a valeo one you usually get an allighnment tool with the kit
-
#11nah mate i got a good clutch from another engine so no tool.
-
#12do it by eye mate its easy ive done it loads of times!

#13tbh have helped do this twice now and each time we use something like a 16mm socket on an extension and does the same thing as the alignment tool
