Changing Brake Discs

  1. #1
What's involved in changing the brake discs of a mark 1 1.1 saxo?

Is there any clamping off or hammering to do?

Or isit simply the fact of taking the wheel off and then the caliper and pads then replacing the discs?

A to do list maybe please??

    please tell me you're joking

3 or 4 stud wheels mate? if its 3 stud the brake retaining pins like to rust themselves in so its good practice to get some new ones as you'll have to hammer the old ones out with a drive. obv the 4 studs have a sliding pin which is far easier to knock out. then as soon as you've got the outer pad out, pull the caliper towards you to get the piston back in (or get a g clamp on it when the discs off). the torx bits holding the disc on like to sieze, but can be drilled out and aren't necessary
