1.1 paxo not running right

   a couple of weeks my engine packed in, would start fine but wouldnt run, turned out it was fuel filter, it was replaced and the car ran. Since then i've had a huge flat spot in 1st and 2nd. When starting up frm cold it will die if you dont put some revs on, only for 15secs but i stil get the flat spots no mater how warm or cold the engine is. Now though it has started surging, but i only notice it when its warm. It idles between 500rpm and just below 1k but it never cuts out. I have run the fuel realy low 1 time this week because i had no choice. Maybe another filter and some engine flush would be a good start? Thanks

   The surging your getting could also be electrical ie a coil pack breaking down or your spark plug leads.

   is there a way to test the pack and leads without swapping them?

   Easiest way is to swap them over with a mates saxo see if there is difference.
