I always new that a career within the IT world was the wrong decision !! I made some calls earlier today to my local garages to obtain prices for replacing the rear Discs & Pads on my VTS. Both quoted the best part of £200as I phoned I am sure they didn't see me coming!! Can anyone recommend somebody close to either Bracknell or Basingstoke who would give a more reasonable price.

#3Buy the haynes book!

#4Replacing the rear discs on the saxo is one of the easiest jobs you could do on the car. Changing the pads isnt much harder, just make sure you dont lose the springs/clips.
You could buy a haynes manual and disks and pads off ebay for less than £50 -
#5i always go for th rear disks that outrage_uk posted up, great value for money. as for fitting them pop down to your local garage and ask 1 of the blokes if he will fit them as a foreigner sure it'll cost no more than £50

#6Cheers all for the advise.

#8Very easy to do
just remember to wind the pistons in on the rear as they screw in not push in

#9Rear shoes are only on cars with drum brakes, right? Sorry for the interjection and noobish question...I'm going to be buying new brakes all round soon you see!
-
#10yeah usually shoes are pads for drums
am gonna ask why lol, advert with no pictures?? -
#11Well I went round to AFL and they said I'd need rear shoes which I thought was odd as fuck seeing as there's no drums! Just wanted to make sure though before I laughed in their face.
