    hi,

i bought a set of vtr pepperpot alloys for my 1999 vts, and also purchased 16 x wheel studs from citroen, part no - 540565

    heres a pic of them

took them to a local tyre fitting station and they guy said they werent safe, he had the wheels on and fitted, but decided not to let me leave with them as he though the wheel nuts were wrong. not long enough, and not threading into the hub enough to be safe..

have i bought the wrong wheel studs? alloys?

    thanks

Alloys will be fine. Take the wheel nuts back and exchange them for longer ones.

    are there longer ones available?

these are the ones I was give from citroen to fit these wheels

    thx

Yeah you should be able to get longer ones. Are you using any wheel spacers?
  5. #5
    not using any spacers mate

Longer wheel bolts should do the trick then mate.

    yea hope they're available mate!

    thx

They do look a bit short I must say... Not sure I'd trust them lol.

I`m sure I remember reading on here a while ago that their are 2 different types of wheel bolts for saxo alloys & the 2nd type are longer bolts.

pretty sure my vtr bolts dont have the tapered bit on them
  11. #11
theyre flat bolts for S alloys. vtr ones are different.

as above they look like ones for vts wheels. pug rims have extra length on thread, i got gti wheels and the bolts have at least 5-10mm extra length

there are 2 types of vtr rims, early ones need the longer ones that are straight with no taper, the ones pictured are the later type.
