front hub

hi guys,

i need to replace my front left hub on my 99 vts, as when trying to screw wheel on i realised the threags are gone in one of the holes!

got it re-threaded but still not great, so looks like i need a bew hub!

are vtr/vts hubs the same? is it a difficult job to replace? and where's the best place to get one..?

Hubs will be the same (as long as they're 4 stood), but the bearings are not.

Some are 35mm ID bearings, some are 37mm.

I think Mk.2 VTS bearings are 37mm ID, Mk.1 35mm? or maybe both 37mm, and all VTR's 35mm? Or Mk.2 VTR's 37mm as well?

Best bet would be be measure your hub and replace the bearing (get it pressed in at a garage) at the same time

new hub on is ebay £100!! and i need bearings too, then fitted! damn
