superchip?

   hi i'm about to get a mk2 vts to replace my impreza, basically wanted something lighter for track and airfield days this summer, the one i'm intersted looks the part but its got a superchip?
   
   i've heard of these being a thing to avoid in other cars whats it all about saxo wise?

   a generic map. If its there its there, i wouldnt pay to fit one

   ok so its not something daft thats simply leaves the ckoke on all the time, like those resistor things for 50p, i normally go down the route of remap or piggyback ecu, so guess i'll bung a cam in and see what happens lol.
