Getting hold of a Crankshaft Pulley RANT

   Guys as u may know i have never ranted on saxp before....untill today
   
   I spent the past 45mins trying to get hold of one, know one stocks them I rang main dealer and they can get one in for Wed, but ive just started a NEW job and have to work Tomorrow
   
   Its a tiny part am not asking for a lot am I?

   Roughly £130 new from Citroen. Motor factors can sometimes get them in for a bit less, even saw some on eBay for £50.

   Got mine for £40 and peice of piss to fit.........

   complete pulley is 50 pounds off ebay, cannot buy rubber bit seperately, easy to fit,drop alternator belt off,undo 3 bolts,swap pulley over,tighten bolts refit belt.

    can't go wrong mate, as i say,just take the alternator drive belt of, undo the 3 13mm bolts and swap the pulleys over.

    Am a nice guy and it take's a hell of alot to wind me up but i went a little crazy on the phone this morning to main dealer...they can now get the pat in for tomorrow at 8am for £65
    
    I felt a bit bad so am going to ring him up now to say sorry I just need to get to work am sure you guys understand that.

    I found mine to be a right bitch to change, Had to undo the ECU side engine mount so i could drop it down a little for more room.

    Citroen have a habit of selling the wrong parts... Even though they make the cars, and take the reg etc... They sold me a VTS Cam Belt kit for my VTR, an I even gave them my Reg and numbers lol.

    Well from 1st glance at your pic it just looks like a rubber disc ie where is the actual pulley part?

    AA Said when car was ticking over the belt was spinning but when u reved it up the belt span the same speed and the pulley wobbled???

    I`d look again at how you`ve tightened up the pulley & if the alternator is dead inline with the crankshaft pulley
