coil pack problems ?

yet again i cant drive the car as it is trying to stall well here is the problem

    starts fine

Revs are sticking at about 2k + (dont have gauge to tell)
then you drop the clutch down and the car stalls sometimes

    cleaned the idle control
just had gas flowed throttle on
    new spark plugs
    new clutch

the only things i could do it replace idle control new coil pack and new temp sensor but will this fix it and obviously money i could just be wasting it ?

i have tried taking the coolant temperature plug out on the revs still did not drop they just still sat at around 2k, i brought a coil pack off some kid on here and it was from a gti but the rubbers are a bit shorted and it never started is this coil pack related problem or not ? the problem starts as soon as you start it then rev it not all the time though sometimes it revs back down, sick of spending money on this french ........

    thanks all that help me

Unless you`ve got your engine managemnt light on & can get it scanned for a fault code then its going to be a process of elimination mate.

Idle Control Valve or a leak at the throttle body somewhere.

there was the plastic part that goes to the oil that a pipe come out of and goes the the rocker cover and that snapped but i sorted that out but if there a was a chance that a little bit of air was going in would it be causing this much of a problem ? how would i know it was this could i just run the engine on put my finger over it

thats deffo the problem, is it the actual manifold pipe thats broken, or the rubber tube?

If it the tube just put insulation tape round it until you can get a new one. If its the manifold you might need a new mani, unless super glue will fix it?

You have twatted it while fitting the new throttle body Im afraid

yup that's basically what i did lol when i took the old cam off i did not see this pipe was connected (was dark out) and pulled the cam and it snapped i might be able to try and super glue it actually i basically got bigger rubber pipes ect and the car was fine but obviously oil vapour and engine movement has caused it to have an air leak, at least i know now then what it is ill have to try glue it tomorrow cheers mate

can i just block it for now ?

basically the part that goes into the pipe snapped but left a jagged edge but there is not enough room left to put a pipe over which is what i did, but i will be able to super glue it though

If you have rubber hose & some sealant you could try fixing it that way

yup i have all the hoses off my vtr engine and loads of spares all sizes i did make a hose when i broke and it was fine for about 2 weeks but obviously the pipe is the oil vapour right ? so they must have got oil and with engine vibration ect...
so i have the actual bit that snapped and it fits perfectly in there so i will first on all glue that, then i will have to just put a load of tape around the pipes or something, ill bodge it some how lol thanks all really appreciate it
