how the hell do you remove door pins on a mk2 vts

after doing plenty of research on here and other forums, nothing i can find seems to help.

all advice i found is either for a mk1 which looks dead easy btw, or any help with the mk2 is unclear and with out images. i just dont see how it unclips

read some where to pull towards you but i cant see where. i dont want to cut it or snap it, just want the whole rod out properly.

any help will be greatly appreciated. cheers.

door card off, get your fingers in behind it, and you can feel the rod. just pop the rod off, by pushing it towards you.

one side on mine just popped off the other needed a good old squeeze!
might just be stiff

once off, just pull up and out.

yep ive taken the door card off matey.

when i put my fingers in behind though i cant feel it the further down i go, just at the top and the rod is like really long.

push it towards you? you mean pull towards you, or push away? which way so if the door is open am i going towards or away from the car?

well i would of done it like, two fingers, back of the figers facing the back of the door! and the front of your fingers on the rod, then just squeeze it towards you / inside of the door.

right ok perfect thats great advice gonna try it now. how far down did you go cos like i say i can only feel it nearly right at the top...

feel the rod, and you can feel where it connects to another horizontal rod. just above that.

fuck sake cant bloody do it at all! i can see a horizontal rod, im feeling just above it and im pushing towards me with all my effort lol but nothing is happening doesnt feel like im doing it in the right place.

ah this is so annoying! just want them out!
