Accelaration problems

   I brought my saxo about a month ago and it had this problem already,i will be driving along and when i get to 4000 revs it feels and sounds like the engine it screaming but it still keeps goin,it is a vtr and i thought it would rev to atleast 6500 just want an idea what the problem could be,thanks for your help.

   sound like the gearbox to me, even though it may seem like it goes in gear nice when the bearing are broke or just gearbox nakerd it makes a scream and get louder down the revs does it sound like something is grinding a little aswell ?

   What do you mean by screaming? Can you get a video of the noise?
   Does it do it in neutral? Any specific gear?

   Could be clutch slip?

   its has a B&M quick shift gearbox and goes in gear ok,it just when you get to 4000 rpm it just runs out of puff,it feels more like a power promblem but am not sure,just think it should be quicker for a vtr,thanks for your help.
