when i turn the ignition key theres a loud drone?

   everytime i go in my car to start it, at first it wont start it just makes a loud droning noise, itl start straight after that but its becoming more common sometimes 2 times before it starts, any ideas?? cheers

   Sounds like the fuel pump priming. So a possible problem with fuel pressure?

   I was going to suggest fuel pump, but the read your description.
   
   When you turn the key but not to start it, you will hear the drone of the fuel pump priming.But you are saying you then turn the key the final temporary position to start the car and theres a droneing noise? Could be starter motor but thats not a droning noise, its more of a gear miss noise (depending on the problem)

   the best way to describe it is when your filling up at a petrol station when you press the pump, you hear that loud drone, its exactly like that

   Defo sounds like the fuel pump priming

   so what does that mean is it bad?
