Important! : Arch - Wheel clearance?

  1. #1
Im struggling to get my alloy wheels that are 195/45/15 to fit without scraping. When I first fitted them on they were about 1mm clear of the inside of the arch so I out 10mm spacers on and when passengers are in the back they rub against the outside of the arch. How much clearance do I need from the inside of the arch to the wheel? Thanks

On my old VTR, I had 17" wheels with 215/40 - drove with no rubbing and people in the back. Arches were modified and grinded out slightly and ran with no arch liners.

    How it stood

    Rear wheel

Ye I have cut some of the arch away, im going to try 5mm spacers, but the are going to leave very little space either side, hopefully it will stop the rubbing!!!
