Knocking coming From Engine

   hey Guys, ive got a fairly loud Knocking coming from the top of my engine, ive taken the cam covers off as this is where the noise seems to be coming from but both cams are fine and there is plenty of oil there.
   I've also removed the Coil pack and all spark plugs are tight and no oil leaked into them
   any suggestions or advice guys?

   it might be a loose tappet, they can become really loud

   also a possibility but less likely, the camshaft carrier has a loose bolt and its knocking against the head

   as said sounds like its tappets but could be cam carrier as well
