When the car is stationary and I turn the wheel there is a knock from passenger side wheel,n if I hit a pothole on that side makes a knock? Any ideas cheers

#2Erm I have a similar problem but only happens when I putf full lock on and I hear a knock sound. Come to the conclusion that it's the steering colum rubbing against something.

#3Most likley the steering rack where it clamps to the tracking rods n shiznit. They often get some play there. Check by pulling on the rack for any play or get someone to turn the wheel while you look.
Also check track rod ends, drop links, top mount bearings. -
#4mine did this, it turned out to be the damper

#5mine did this and turned out to be a combination of wheel wobble from the front passenger side, and a knackered passenger side top mount. so when going round a corner to the right the weight shifted to the left side, and the wheel wobble caused the top mount to move up and down, with the strut, and it knocked like hell. did the same when going over pot holes too. sorted the wheel balance and replaced the top mount, jobs a good'un
