Sportex system?

   Im thinking of buying a sportex backbox and race tube (straight pipe to cat) i know its not the best out there but as my vts only cost me 700 dont want to spend lots on it. I only really want exhaust for noise as its quick enough but to quiet the system is £170.
   
   Has anybody had a sportex system on there saxo or just a backbox and do they fit well?

   just the back box you will get the noise from it, took mine off to much boom lol

   Ive got a sportex racetube and sportex 3inch backbox and its loud!!!!

   sounds like its what i want did it fit well without knocking or having to use cable ties lol

   Sportex are very noisy, also quite a hollow raspy sound. Cheap and decent quality.

   sportex is good tbh, alot of people dont like them but i used to have them, popped all the time, and was wayyyyyy to loud. But if your into that then its good, quite good quality aswell.

   I've got one on my mine mate. Produces an awesome sound, loud as you like and pops and bangs all day long. Quite anoying on the motorways tho!

    there a proper decent exhaust for the money ive had them on both my saxos and 106's and there as good as any for performance

    i wouldnt say there as good as any for performance, unless you havent tried the supersprint....?

    An exhaust is only a breathing mod at the end of the day, significant performance gains are only going to be evident when you start pairing an exhaust up with cams tb's etc. The sportex is good value for money but as said, they're very loud and the hangers provided aren't always correct so the back box might not sit in the recess. I'm much happier with my supersprint system than i was with the sportex; less noisy but still get a few pops from it.

    Oredered a cat back sportex system with race tube and 3inch back box should be here tuesday, wednesday hopefully

    My sportex 3inch back box and race tube are fitted. Very good quality and fitted well.

    I have the straight through racetube (Mani to backbox) with a 3" sportex backbox and its loud as fuck! Nice rasp to it, pops and bangs for fun. Sounds amazin

    I got a 3 inch sportex backbox am going to get a center pipe. So I have read the posts and am I right in finking that it will pop and bang with the cat stil in becaust if this is the case that's amazing as I won't have to by a manifold.

    if your cat is in the mani, you will need a new mani. (mk2's)
    if yours is a mk1 and its in the centre pipe, just get a decat pipe.
