is that 3 stud or 4 stud mate? 3 studs you could get some compomotive MO's, or 4 studs get some vtr rims 2nd hand and paint them.

14's and 15's are your best bet on a forte.

There's plenty of choice with it being a 4 stud.

Why do people always expect to get something decent for little money? You get what you pay for!!!

yeh alloys can be quite expensive, im after some 3studs atm, i like the idea about painting vtr alloys, seen it done on a few cars on this forum looks good if you get the colour and the job done right

Getting some vtr or vts wheels would be my advice!

You will probably have to do a little bit of arch work on the rear. This will involve triming the little metal that sits inside the wheel arch out. This may only be necessary if you lower the car.

the vtr and tvs wheels are prob the best things to get at first, you can pick them up fairly cheap second hand, maybe look at e-bay to get some ideas, or you could try putting a post on here to see if anyone has any spare they're willing to sell. If you wanted to buy other alloys look around on the web companies are always doing deals

I agree, i think the VTR/VTS wheels on base model saxo are a great improvement without going over the top, in-yer-face type style. I recently switched from VTR alloys to VTS ones and i dont regret it in the slightest.
My main concern was the the 15's would be too wide for the rear arch (rubbing on the inner lip), the fronts might rub on full lock... so i grabbed my family and stuffed them in the back then took the car over some speed bumps just to be sure and the was no problems at all. It turns out that the tyres dont even come close to the inner lip.

You could probly try Gazz/Gareth?(GSMotorsport) for rims, I'm not sure if he's still around or a partner of sax-p anymore or anything.

Go with something which contrast with the car, but not tacky, spokes which suit the profile etc, it's your chose at the end of the day.
