starter motor

   Hey my other halfs starter motor on her vtr has packed in she is on a r plate looking to change it this weekend,looks abit of a pain to change just want to know how she comes out what needs to be unbolted etc

   Three bolts mate. Around the edge and the two on the bottom were the wires connect. Id dissconnect the battery first the mate, just to stop stray voltages

   well it took me 30 min's to change mine laid on my back so shouldn't take that long if you got the tools ratchet spanners are easier than a socket.

   If you don't fancy getting under the car, you can just take off the inlet manifold/fuelrail/injectors to get to it

   oh right cheers for that i am a mechanic i only had a quick look underneath as the car was only held up by a jack did not fancy being under there too long lol,it looked like abit of a bitch as 2 of the bolts seemed to be holding on some sort of bracket?prehaps i just did not look at it right as it was a really quick look but she cant be that bad if it only took 30 mins on at back lol!Cheers for the replies

   and the bracket you saw is jut the bracket to hold the bottom of the air box.
