Starting Issue

   My VTS does not start first time very often anymore!
   
   I turn the key, the revs go up and then it just dies straight away, unless i give it a rev it doesnt seem to want to play ball.
   
   It also backfires every now and again which altho cool is worrying.
   
   Any ideas guys/gals?

   The back firing sounds either like a fueling problem or a spark plug/coil pack problem.
