#7Update. Had a spare map sensor so braved the storm outside and changed it over.
Took the car for a 15 mile drive and left it to idle for a while to. Made sure it was warmed upm
So far it has solved the problem no dipping in revs when braking hard and idle ticking over fine.
Will update in a couple of days once I have used it more goin to work and back and see if it comes bck. -
#8the sensor change make any difference?

#9drove to work this morning 10 miles also got stuck in traffic for a while so car was warm
still ok no revs dropping and idle better to not dipping down so looks to have solved my problem with that sensor being changed.
if your having the same issue might be worth getting a cheap one of here to swap over and try -
#10Its back heading home from work this evening and once warm started to do it again.
Got another spare coilpack so goin to try tht
Anyone else had any joy or suggestions ? -
#11not had chance to change any sensors today, but been over 150 miles today and it never did it,to be honest its not bad when it does it,its just that if i sell the car then i would like it to tick over perfect, but asked a mechanic who works on saxos and he said most do it and its nothing to worry about unless its that bad,and mine only does it now and again and its only a slight flicker for about a second, and if you ask me loads of saxos do this anyway as every one i have owned have done this.the joy of owning a saxo
