speedo not working !!!!

   goin to try my best to explain what goin on here.
   
   bought car last week with broken gearbox nd clutch.. car is saxo vts 98 model.. got an engine and loom with if from a 52reg vts.. put new clutch and box in from other engine but all wires had came out of speedo plug on engine in car.. so cut the plug off other 52 reg loom and connected wires and plugged in.. now speedo doesnt work i have tried changin the speedo sensor itself it isn tht... dont know wot i done wrong................ ???????

   How did you plug a triple plug engine loom to a single plug interior loom? they physically wont fit.

   no not the whole loom jst the actual plug that connects to the speedo sensor i cut it off other loom

   Oh I see so the 52 Reg engine is a spare that you have and not in the '98 car?

   yea thts right got a whole engine loom box everythin spare 52reg.. and used plug from tht loom all colours where same wen conneted apart from the pink on my 98 loom was red on 52 loom ?? any ideas got me baffled lol
