smoothing tailgate.

   if i was to get my tailgate flushed of a bodyshop, can you weld the plate in yourself then just ask them to smooth it for you or would this be a cheeky thing to do?

   on ebay they sell a pre cut plate which covers it up and i fink you can just smooth that in and its done not sure how good they are though
