Got an issue with my 1.4i auto, engine runs fine on idle and when you give it some throttle in neutral but when you accelerate in gear it is very sluggish but eventually picks up, I have recently had the head apart to renew the head gasket, and also had the head skimmed, as the head gasket had gone and was running very rough. Have plugged it into a gizmo to check the ecu but there are no fault codes being read at all, have renewed the lambda sensor, crankcase sensor, and also coolant temp sensor, but this was prior to the head gasket being done, but this was mainly a fault finding process before i decided to change the gasket. The engine generally runs sweet since doing the gasket but before renewing the gasket there wasn't this acceleration problem, I'm assuming it is a fuel problem, or possibly something to do with the throttle body??? or the attached sensors?? but if it was one of these sensors on the throttle body wouldn't they show up on the gizmo??? Any thoughts would be great.
