Make shift engine crane chains

  1. #1
I'm swapping my VTR engine for a VTS this Friday, I have spoken to a hire company who said they will rent me a crane for £30 and if I want the chains it a further £25.

This seems abit excessive for some chain and I wondered if anyone new of any make shift methods I could use?

I know it would make life easier just to rent the chains but I'm trying to keep costs down.

    Cheers

you need a block and tackle, that would do the job!

I would use tow rope or something like that and make sure you go around several times. Thats what I would use.

I'd drop it underneath the car. Far easier and much safer !!!

    450kg will do the job.

i used chains that you`d normally find suspending swings in childrens play grounds, lol
