Fitting Kent PT50k cams ?

  1. #1
I will soon be fitting my Kent PT50 cams to my upcoming 16v conversion.

I'm sure I saw on here before I got them,
that they are fitted using std timing as they are only mild cams

    Is this correct?
  2. #2
Yes there where at standard timing on my car, and sure I did mark the boxes with inlet and exhaust but double check when fitting as I am not 100% on that.
  3. #3
You can fit to standard timing

But Id have thought you would be better off using a dti gauge to tweak the timing a little more, should be spot on then. Or set at standard and get them tweaked on a rollin road

Pk 50 are design for standard timing dude
  5. #5
It may well be but as with the standard cams they are designed to use standard timings, but can actually be tweaked to a better position
So I'm sure these cams may make a difference being tweaked too

    Cheers guys.

Hopefully the engine should be in a running for the Rolling Road day at NMS
I'll see what the results are, and have a chat with the guys there if they think it need tweeking.
