Manifold Heat Shield Help.

  1. #1
    Hi guys,

I was removing my heat shield ready to be painted and I've managed to sheer the bolts so the ends have stayed in the manifold. Anyone have any tips on getting them out?

    Cheers.

Or leave the heatshield off altogether(I know you want to paint it).

Watch when painting the manifold heat sheild as the paint tends to burn if the manifold cover is put back to soon... This is my eperience of it anyway. Best leaving it for a few days to let the paint fully cure

i left mines for a few days and after about 10min run it started smoking and everything. so ive just took it off. use high temp paint straight on the metal. i just used normal halfords paint and gunk laquer and its stinky and smoky
