Xsara vts engine??

Hi, I was just wondering if someone could tell me wether a xsara 2.0 16v vts engine would fit in my saxo vts? And a rough estimate of benefits?

There 167bhp so the power to weight ratio must be intense!

    Anyone had it done??

    Thanks

urmmm the front end will be heavier due to the massive heavy 2.0 engine up front and the hasstle with doing it isnt worth it you will probs spend £200-£350 on a decent xsara vts engine with loom ecu ect and then another £100 on gear box and then you will have to make new engine mounts , gearbox mounts which will have to be custom made basicly you have got a saxo vts already which will be faster than a xsara vts and corner better , get your saxo cammed and mapped will probs cost the same probs cheaper than doing a xsara vts conversion and you will probs get 150bhp with cams and it will be faster and will still corner as good rather than a 167bhp 2.0 lump thats heavy and will make the car shite
    just my veiws mate

People fail to realise quite how heavy the TU 16v engine really is. It will fit and you need a fair amount of custom parts, with matched springs for the new weight. Not cheap. Its been talked about plenty on this forum. Do a search for more information

Cheers guys, I wasnt to sure because my rear end is already twitchy as fook! But I was just curious, ive been looking at cams and a predator ecu, but it's all exspensive,

What's the best cams to get as I use my car daily and don't want nothing that's going to make it idle funny?
