drivers door being a whore!

   past couple of days my drivers door has needed some persuading when closing it (a few bang and slams and it closed.) but now i cant even get in my car as it wont open with my key
   
   so im now climbing thru the passenger door (gettin a few stares along the way!) which uses a different key from the drivers for some reason. when i pull up the door pin it unlocks everything but the drivers for a second, then locks the car again. oh and it wont open from the inside either!!!
   
   soooo if anyone has any help on this and where i should be looking it'd be more than appreciated fellas

   The locking post on the car body needs to be adjusted.

   awesome! this an easy job to do then? oh and any advice on how to get the door open to adjust it?

   It's 30 second job and yer I'd be tempted to persuade the door with a foot from inside

   just tried kicking the door out from the inside...fuck me its on tight!! should i keep trying because it aint budging even after a right good kicking?!?
   
   ive snapped the interior door trim off to have a look at the lock from the inside, is there anyway of unlatching the lock from the inside of the door?!
   
   any ideas guys? im completely stumped and sick of gettin laughed at climbing outa the passenger door
