when i put my standard cd player in my car, it just slots in. however, i come to do it the other day and notice that actually bit that holds the cd player has moved, and like mechanically slid on a angle, so i cannot push it or slide it back into place.

weather the car is started or not nothing i can do to put it back so now cant listen to things on cd/radio!

    HELP!

P.S - Ive recently had to reset the battery, taking red terminal off for 2 mins and put it back on, but this has moved itself when i havent been in the car.

Your going to have to take your glovebox out & take your cd player out from the rear mate, never in a million years have I seen that before.Once its out your going to have to try & put the front piece back on by taking out the centre console(where all the switches are)good luck because it looks fiddly.O`h the link you gave me in your pm was for the tv you`ve sold lol.

Its happend to a friend of mine before. Its when whoever put in the metal cage (bracket) to hold your cd player in, didnt click down the tabs correctly and when they put the actully player in, didnt use the correct cd keys so the lugs and slots didnt align and "click" into place, so basiclly its override these slots and fell through the actull cage itself.. so like steve said.. take it in the read.. i mean take it from the rear, haha. There is an article in the haynes for this, check it out. Or im sure there is a thread on here somewhere for it I have never taken it out myself so, wouldnt know how.

    Hope this helps.

try taking the metal cage out then get your hand under the and behind the console then try to feed it back out the way it went in

why dont you just take the centre console off? much easier access to the back door then

quick update, the problem was the alternator wire that connects between battery and the alternator itself. It was shagged.
