6x9 speakers on parcel shelf

   i was woundering whats the easyiest way to cover them up to make it look standard? av been told you can do this but was woundering what with and how? any ideas

   found out its called Acoustic... any ideas guys? thats a link to ebay where someones selling one, i would like to do this but not sure how? ideas guys?

   stealth shelf its also called... av searched in the search bar and nothings really come up! someone must know how to do this?

   yes cut out the holes in shelf, place mdf board underneath screw 6x9s to that then recover the surface boom got your shelf

   I made one yesterday out of MDF. Then mounted 6x9's under and put material over the top

   so basicly i just put the holes in like normal for the 6x9's then get material to cover the top? lol. how do you make it so its the shape of the parcel shelf (mine dips down in two places)

    this is how i started mine, still havent finished it tho. but most people put mdf on the bottom so the top looks standard

    We are obviously ignoring the fact 6x9's suck and are a cheap solution to a 'sound system.' But it would be better not to maul up the parcel shelf and just attach MDF under the shelf and attach it to that, thus not ruining your parcel shelf.

    agree with above but as shelf was already mauled i;m gonna use it. next weekend is when it gets finished

    when i done mine i just mounted speakers on parcel shelf, Then covered the whole thing in black felt. unless you knew what a saxo parcel shelf looked like, you wouldn't have a clue the speakers were there.

    i didnt use any mdf on mine. just cut holes in the shelf, bolted the speakers through the shelf, and stretched acoustic cloth over the hole shelf, sticking it down with tiger seal. took like half hour lol
