Important! : Removing front bumper

  1. #1
I'm planning to swap over front vt bumper on saturday. I've searched but I'm still not 100% on what I have to do.

So far I think I have to:
Undo 2 torx screws in arch each side (not sure if there under the lining)
    Undo bolts near rad
Undo bolt under car at the front

    Not sure what I've missed?
Pics of bolts/screws would be grand

    Help

really? i though that there where screws behind the lining
  11. #11
if im correct the bolt goes through the lining and connects the lining arch and bumper together
  12. #12
    nice.

ive read that there are bolts under the arch lining and a number of other things
  13. #13
Arch liners are just held in with a few screws and clips that are accessible without removing the wheel if you need to remove them
  14. #14
but the big question is, do i need to remove them?
  15. #15
It makes it easier, apparently you can do it leaving the liners in and just removing one of the clips or something but not sure how that is done
  16. #16
    cheers.

my vtr's lowered so theres not much space in the arches, would this be a problem?
  17. #17
Could be depending on how much it's lowered by
Jack it up to raise the height a bit, might give you a bit of extra room to work with? and maybe try turning wheels? otherwise you'll have to remove the wheels

Try removing the bumper first without taking the liners out as recommended above, if it doesn't come out then You'll just have to remove the liners
