Important! : No power going to Drivers side door

  1. #1
    Hey guys

Haven't had my drivers side window working since I bought the car. I expected it to be the window regulator so got a new one. Went to fit it and noticed no power is going to the drivers side door, without ripping out the interior, does anybody know if its a Relay that could be the problem? If so, which one?

    Thanks

open your door, if you crouch down outside of the car, look to your right where the carpet goes up behind the dash, pull the carpet back and the insulation and you will see it right in front of you!

If its connected, with the ignition on, check for a current while holding the electric window switch down

check you fuses too btw. Might be a long arse job if there isnt a current. Id then check the switches to see if theres anything.

IRC there is a relay thats got connections to both doors, cant rmember which but if you get a pic il recognise it last resort though.

I need to get hold of a Multimeter then?

The passengers side window is working fine, the new motor/regulator etc wouldn't work which I thought was a tad weird.

I will get a picture tomorrow of the Relays just incase all this don't work. Thanks Danny!!

Give it a go with a multimeter, they only cost £5 if you aint got one and always handy to have.
