VTR rear brakes failing MOT

  1. #1
    Hi all,
My VTR has failed the MOT about 4 times opn rear brakes.
I have changed the pads, callipers and bled it about 4 times.
They are just not giving enough braking power but feel ok on the road.
is it worth considering the compensator valve as I have another one on a spare rear axle?
Could it be possible that there is a problem with the brake lines?
Can you get braded brake lines to replace all pf the brake pipes and would this be worth while?

    HELP!!!!!!!

could be worth trying it mate as if the brake lines were f***ed then they wouldn't have passed the mot and if you have one its worth it as its free and can be done when jacking the car up.

could also be cause your just changing the pads if the discs are fucked/ warped that would reduce braking power.

load sensor is often siezed and reduces rear brake effort

    Hi guys,
Thanks for your help. I changed the compensator valve and eventually one of the short pipes from the nearside flexi hose and my Saxo has PASSED its MOT.

    Woohoo
