Issue with idling.

Car struggles to start on a very cold morning and pauses/locks up through each gear until i've driven down the road. Is that a misfire?

Doesn't matter about the weather now, but once sax has had a few mins to warm up it will idle below 1000rpm. It sounds like it is struggling to maintain revs then suddenly it will bring the revs back up to normal. i can hear this in the exhaust note. I've also noticed it goes to cut out when pulling away but a quick rev stops it.

My process of elimination is as follows: ICV, Temp coolant sensor, map sensor, TPS.

Is this the correct order for sorting something like this?

Try cleaning your ICV 1st, check coil pack and finally try cleaning plugs on temp, map and lambda sensors

    possible fuel pressure regulator fault

Sorry to have hijacked your thread. Mine holds back when you floor it aswell, im thinking its a sensor down, i have replaces the air temperature sensor. Theres a sensor just under the icv sensor does anybody know what its called? i have unplugged that and it makes the engine rev up and down so could it be that sensor stuffed?
