Battery light

   Battery lights started to flicker and now is fully on . . .
   
   When i turn the key round to middle it makes a constant whirring sound. .
   
   Drives fine though
   
   Ideas's ?

   Battery light can be caused by a poor connection on the alternator,if you turn you key round whle the engine is running the whirring sound is the starter motor which you can burn out by doing this.

   Are your battery teminals on tight?.

   Alternator bearings could be shot mate.
