    Hey all

Wanting to remove my inlet manifold tomorrow to get a better look at the steering rack.

Is it difficult with the engine in situ?

Any guides? Haynes doesn't have any pics

Pretty easy, just undo the allen key bolts and 10 or 13mm's inbetween the inlet ports. Alos need to remove the engine mouth to get to one of the allen keys.

I never removed my engine mount???? Its easy enough you will just look at it and figure out what needs to come off in stages. I dont take long either.

There was one allan bolt that was covered up by the engine mount on the last 3 engines I took the inlet off.

    Never had this situation

Theres a document that i got off here I can e-mail you Danny if need be. It has the complete engine breakdown with loads of exploded drawings showing how things go together and what not. Drop me a pm with your e-mail and i can send it onto you if you want.

It's easy enough (as always) if you've done it before. Most dificult part i'd say is the two inverted screws that are in the bottom of the inlet plenum.

That and the ones holding the inlet manifold on can be awkward to get to/get the allan keys onto

Hmmmmm not sure then, the last 3 were imposible to get to without removing the engine mount bracket!
