tappets

I have just changed the H/G and its running fine,it just seems a bit more tappety than it was,is it possible with all the work involved that this could be
the cause of it,im going to check the clearances tomorrow.
I would appreciate anyones input.

I think you've answered your own question. It's always worth re-setting the valve clearances.

If you have a haynes manual it'll provide you with a good enough description of what you need to do.
