Not sure what i've done????

Ive taken the car off the for sale section until further notice.
Anyway was on the way to the harvester with the Misses and put me footdown in 2nd up to about 4.5k then the most awful cruch noise happens so put me foot on the clutch took it out of gear and rolled to a stop with no noise happening whilst out of gear. try to pull away in any gear this discusting noise occurs like a metal grinding clashing knockin noise, it does pull the car but ddnt move more than an inch as i didnt want to cause further damage, its pissing down and cant get underneath it so getting a garage to have a look tomorrow.

what are the options. gearbox? is only thinkg i can think of??

any help would be greatly appreciated

diff bearing, or release bearing. imo

garage said its the gearbox. if i supply them with a gearbox how much should i be looking at for them to fit it.

probably a couple of hours labour so maybe i dunno £150-£200 depeding on rates? at work we charge £62 + vat an hour so... :') maybe worth finding someone close to you that can do it on the cheap side?

be careful happend to me i thought was the gearbox but it was the drivers side driveshaft

Ordered a gearbox from a citroen&peugot specialist with 44k miles on for just under £200 posted.

garage said it about £130 to fit.
