Drowning while driving!

    Hi

Like Floot drenched, I also have water sloshing around in driver's footwell and rear drivers side footwell. However, NO evidence of damp anywhere! Only significant thing is that replaced seal above driver's door just before it started leakingm(it just fell off) but again, no evidence of damp on door, in door. I got 5 litres out out of it the other day. It's definitely rain water. Can only drive in wellies now. Suggestions have been sun roof (no damp) aerial (no damp in ceiling) gutter in front of windscreen (no evidence of blocking). Help! Help! Not good swimmer.

Not good mate, I had at least 3 inch puddle in my passenger side footwell, However that was due to my sunroof seal.. By the sounds of it doesnt seem like that could be it so cant be much help, No water in your interior light or water laying ontop of your door once opened?

my sunroof has a big leak and left a bit of a puddle in the footwell. a new seal and it was all sorted

sure its rain water and not your heater matrix leaking?

if its in the rear then its proberly just the seals leaking rain water in.

you would visually know if its the heater matrix

What i ment about the interior light mate was that its a sign of the sunroof seal leak, if you open the sunroof you may find that the seal has come out of its grove on the corners so relocate it, not a problem solver but will make the leaking more controlable untill you get a new seal

Also the water filled the front of footwell and behind too, seat was damp and could hear slushing water once i moved the car

if it was the sunroof wouldnt the roof be damp, i cant even feel water if i put my fingers into ther sides of the sunroof, and would it not fill all the footwells with water?

Its probably your heater matrix mate. If you have water in your footwell but know leaks. Cant believe knowone has suggested this yet.
