hydraulc tappets

   does anyone know how to fit hydraulic tappets on a vts? or is there a thread to say how? may attempt myself if not to hard

   They have them as standard, do you mean Change them?
   You'll need to take the cam covers off and the cams out, which means locking the crank off and making sure the engines timed right when you refit it, you think you're upto that? I'll go into more detail if you think you can do it

   yea i mean changing them lol ye i know u hve to take the cam covers off and cams out but not sure how to do it... can u PM me how or post a thread mate

   When u planning on doing it? Suppose I could make a brief tutorial at weekend when I've picked up a 16v engine

   The tappets should just lift out.... the ones i've done before just do..

   its not difficult m8.
   will mean a new cam belt.
   u will want some new cam seals. and some silicone sealant.
   and it is just a case of lifting the tappets out and fitting the new ones(pre oiled)

   There built into the head assembly so your obviously gonna have to strip that down, if your askin how to do it your prob best paying someone who no's already

    yes it can be done re-using the old belt but would be false economy and bad practice, its got to come off anyway so why do half a job?

    it cant be done without taking the cambelt off m8.
    and for the price of a cambelt u might aswell replace.
    if ur looking for a cheap way, i can offer assistance bud
