#2They have them as standard, do you mean Change them?
You'll need to take the cam covers off and the cams out, which means locking the crank off and making sure the engines timed right when you refit it, you think you're upto that? I'll go into more detail if you think you can do it -
#3yea i mean changing them lol ye i know u hve to take the cam covers off and cams out but not sure how to do it... can u PM me how or post a thread mate
-
#4When u planning on doing it? Suppose I could make a brief tutorial at weekend when I've picked up a 16v engine
-
#5either this weekend or next weekend mate they shoud arrive tomorrow so
-
#6The tappets should just lift out.... the ones i've done before just do..
-
#7its not difficult m8.
will mean a new cam belt.
u will want some new cam seals. and some silicone sealant.
and it is just a case of lifting the tappets out and fitting the new ones(pre oiled) -
#8wow i need all of that to change tappets??
-
#9There built into the head assembly so your obviously gonna have to strip that down, if your askin how to do it your prob best paying someone who no's already
-
#10adz is it possible to do tappets with out changin cam belt?
-
#11yes it can be done re-using the old belt but would be false economy and bad practice, its got to come off anyway so why do half a job?
-
#12it cant be done without taking the cambelt off m8.
and for the price of a cambelt u might aswell replace.
if ur looking for a cheap way, i can offer assistance bud -
#13just money situation atm hence why iim tryin to do it cheap hahaa!
