Crankshaft Pulley

   My crankshaft pulley went at the weekend is in the garage costing £160 fitted :/ is this a common problem with a Saxo? Never even heard of it before? Also when i drive round a corner (not overly fast) the back end swings out (feels unsafe 2bh), my last VTS handled like a go cart so i dont think its my driving!!

   no not a common problem. Check wheel bolts and for any play in the rear beam, also check bushes and dampers

   The crank pulley is a common problem with a vts the rubber insert wears out on the pulley.

   Yeh think it burnt away cause it stunk! OK thanks for the info

   S crank pulleys are a common failing and are available for approx 50 pounds new.

   and take about 15 minutes to fit.
