power steering

   Can anyone help my power steering occasionaly stops working ?

   check you have enough fluid in it, mine sometimes goes abit heavy on low speed manouvers, or is it in general when it goes?

   Bushes could be starting to stick, might be time for a new pump soon if it stops all together, lighty tap it with a hammer

   When you start the car it's heavy to steer an does it matter that it's a electric motor that the powersteering runs off ?

   Goes on for a while then it will just kick in

   hmm, check simple things like fluid first but like iSlayeR said it could be pump on its way out... it should be hydraulic not eletrical?

    +1 same as me mate, mines has packed up once but restarted the engine and all was fine, take a hammer in your boot and whenever it fails or gets unbearablly heavy then give it a good old dunt, works everytime
