Welding

Just had a quoat from a garage for £300 for just welding.
    It needs:
    1x sill
    1x under boot bar
    5x holes in bulkhead
few minor holes here n there
Left arm wich holds gearbox needs alot underneth.

Do you think this is resonable price.

After that i need a ball joint and a track rod end, 1x tiyer 1x rear bush

Im looking at around 400 to get it an MOT
The engine is grate and i put a new clutch in it. what do u recon ?

don't buy a welder for 300 quid it will be shit and if your asking about the price of welding chances are you wont have a clue how to weld. For 300 notes its a good price as welding rust is a bastard at the best of times.

Yeh I used to use a fairly good MIG, I think it was £2,700 my old boss said.

I used Stick for the pipe work, we had an old oil cooled oxford plant and man it was the nuts, it's like 70 years old and still goes strong even at 200 amps it always did a perfect weld every time!

Then he bought a TIG... Waste of money as I only did Ali like once a month is the job came in lol.
