Think i need a new clutch/ other problems too!!

    Hi all,

as above i think i need a new clutch, i got it replaced for £180 about 18months ago and even driving her home when i was leaving 1st gear i would get vibration and a bit of shaking from the wheel, the car does not feel fast anymore, lesser engines seem to keep up with me, and it seems to rev alot in first when i set off, the idle sits at about 800-900 on the rev counter an moves around sometimes (is this normal) the car is a bit sluggish too.

I got new front brakes and pads and also rear pads about 2 years ago and they other day when i start to brake either hard or normal the car vibrates really bad and the steering goes crazy, do i need new brakes or fluid or something? there is no lip on the discs so dunno lol.

in the last month i have had the cam belt with tensioners fitted which im not happy about as it whines alot (contitech belt) also had the altenator belt done at the same time as the cam belt was done, dont think that was needed but he did it for free when he changed the cam belt, the car really feels slower now the belt has been changed and tension is fine he says lol.

    also last question lol...

i could normally get away with putting £20 per week in the car and i havent changed my routes or anything but now im only getting 3-4 days out of £20, i noticed this when i put two new cold air feeds to my green filter will this cause it??? one is linked from under the car and the other is linked up to the original hole at the front of the car.

my car is an 03 blue VTS with 70k miles
only mods done are full exhaust system (standard manifold)
    lowered 60mm all round
    green air filter

thats it, want to do more but want these things sorted first lol.

I'd start by giving it a decent service, change oil, filters and plugs and see if it's any better.
