DIY sound proofing

   I have already searched for a thread couldnt really find anything decent, so i just want to know what people have used to sound proof door cards & roof i already stuffed the boot lid with loads of old sheets i used to cover furniture when decorating and it made a massive difference unbelivable really how effective it was! so im wondering what other cheap materials would work for door cards & roof cheers

   for 15 quid you can get a pack of tar sound sheets proven to work but weigh a tonne.
   
   or cheap cotton carpet underlay is another option but not as good.
