Wishbones, Drive shafts, Track Rod Ends......

My car has been making a knocking noise for a while now when i turned and its starting to get worse so i want to fix it before it does any major damage.

So im pretty sure its my drive shafts so i am in the process of purchasing a set of these.

So i thought while ive got it apart is there anything else i should change, I was planning on changing my wishbones as the ball joints have seen better days, also the same with my track rod ends as ill change them while its apart (then sort out my tracking). Just wondering if theres anything else i should complete at the same time? Also where would you recommend to get these parts as there is quite a price difference in different companies, does that reflect in quality?

I am also aware i will need to change the pinch bolt,

you don't have to change the pinchbolt but its best practice

Drop links, hub bearings. Knocking noise could be worn drop links. Hub bearings when they start to die make horrible noises.

I believe all models do matey. They are quite a cheap part but often cause noises after wear.

    Unfortunatly rush your wrong matey
An sx has the typical flatarch setup were the arb bolts to the wishbone and it sits in the s1 stule mounts in the shell

So no drop links on his car

I didn't think I did lol, I think one of my rear bearings is on it's way out, are these expensive to fix? I have access to a press if that makes it cheaper,

Anything else I should look at?

    Thanks for the help

    Strut Top mount bearings.

20 quid per bearing on ebay

or on eurocarparts.com you can get a full top kit (2 new rubber top mounts + 2 new bearings also) for 40 quid so a much better deal.

Theses are one of the main causes of a knock when tuning the steering wheel coz they are basically what allows the suspension leg or 'strut' to rotate when you turn your wheels where they bolt on/connect to the chassis of the car.
