Hi I fitted mk1 vts driveshafts to my mk2 vts, is this a bad idea?

#2nope. It'll be fine dude - provided the driveshaft mates correctly with the hub of course. So if you originally had a taper on the shaft (which you should have for a mk2 vts) and there is a taper on the replacement, mk1 shaft then it'll be fine.
There was a transition between non-taper and taper around the mk1 era but I seem to remember that VTS were always tapered(?) -
#3It doesn't have a taper on it mate, I thought my bottom arms had gone cuz u can wobble the wheel in your hand lol, so I've ordered the right ones now

#4sound more like a wheel bearing if you can wobble the wheel about mate

#5On my old vts the wheel bearings went and it's not even as bad as that was! You sure that maybe cuz I've put the driveshaft with the lip and not the tapered end in it's not properly fitting my hub??? That's what I think? When u take the wheel off u cans pull the whole hub away from the driveshaft

#6im not a 100% tbh mate, but a garage put the wrong hub on mine, not knowing there were 2 types one for each type of drive shaft and it fudged my wheel bearing. but what ever you shouldnt be able to move the hub along the driveshaft spindle.... wait for someone with a bit of no how to answer mate.
